We've created an
entirely new online store, and a new web presence in the effort to serve
you better. Take a look around, we've added Forums, Frequently Asked Questions, lots of new Software Downloads, Tech Tips, and more content than ever before.
This is just the beginning of the next stage for us. As we grow and
expand the open-source technologies and products we sell and make
available for free, we intend to expand the scope and content here on
this site to more than just a place to buy products, but a place to
interact with other artists, hobbyists, and do-it-yourself hackers, a
place to learn new techniques and technologies - and most importantly, a
place to serve you better.
We hope that customers and the community as whole will find something of value here and that we can use our new site as a platform to expand knowledge of motion control for filmmakers to new levels. We encourage you to contact us with suggestions, feedback, or any questions you have.
Some of the new features for our customers includes the ability to
better manage your own invoices, more product package options, improved
shipping options, greatly improved product information, and of course -
our new pay at shipment payment policy.
While we've worked very hard on the new site, it's entirely possible there are still a few areas which may have some glitches. We ask for your patience as everyone comes in and puts the site through its paces. If you find any issues along the way, please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know!
If you're an existing customer and you signed up on our old site with
a valid email address, your account has already been created here.
However, due to the difference in encryption techniques between the
site, we were not able to apply your old password. For existing
customers, to login for the first time choose the 'request new password'
link at the top right of the page. It will ask for the email address
you originally signed up with. After entering your email address, you
will receive an email with a link to login and enter a new password.
After logging in, you may click on your username at the top right to access your user management screen, here you may create a new username that isn't your email address (first come first served, sorry!) - this is the username that will be displayed to other users when you post in the forum, or post comments on articles such as this one. You may also choose whether or not other users may contact you view your user panel (we never choose to share your email address with others! But, you need to change your username if you want your email address hidden in the forums!), and whether or not we can collect usage statistics with google analytics about how you use the site.
Due to big differences in how products are managed between the old and the new store, we could not carry over your order history. For orders placed that were not shipped yet, have no fear! We will continue to get your orders out, and you will get email notifications as usual. Additionally, we have retained complete access to all information stored in the old store - so we can retrieve anything from order information to invoices should you need it. Just contact us and we'll take care of it.
You might be wondering why our new international economy shipping option isn't listed as an option at checkout yet. Well, it turns out that we moved faster than the Transportation Safety Administration (part of how we'll be getting products all around the world for a super low price, is that our shipping carrier takes unused space on international flights) and we haven't gotten clearance yet to get our freight on passenger planes. We're working very hard to resolve this right away, but you know how fast the government likes to move. We have, however, secured additional discounts on UPS shipments overseas, and we're passing them on to you.
We'll post an announcement here on the blog as soon as our new economy option is available.
Part of the purpose of the new website is to enable a lot of new
initiatives, both product-wise and open-source technology, to be brought
to you. Keep an eye on the blog for new announcements, as we have a lot of REALLY BIG stuff in the works right now.
We'd like to thank all of our customers for making the last year and a
half a blast, and for all the great feedback and support. All of us at
Dynamic Perception hope to continue to serve you to the best of our
abilities now via our new website, and into the future. Without you,
our customers, and the filmmaking community, we wouldn't be here and
we're very proud to be given the opportunity to serve you every day!
Good job!
Love the look of the new site.... kudos!
Also really loving the Stage Zero I got from you guys earlier in the year. It's pretty amazing! I hope there are some more great products in your pipeline...

Hi David,
A user has been working on an iPhone app related to the Stage Zero, alas, I don't know if he's fully released it yet. Here's his forum post on the subject: Will there be a release in the near future?
Thanks,
Chris
